You can use this menu to change the currency of the prices. This is an approximation only. We always make our prices in Japanese yen and the exchange rate will be determined by our payment service (Flywire) on the date of payment.
Please understand that even if a ticket type is in this list, it might not be available. Weekends and holidays sell out extremely quickly. We strongly recommend that you plan at least one weekday when you can go to sumo and use this as one of your date choices. We limit the number of orders we take for weekends and some ticket types on weekdays.
Service charge includes our fee, plus payment and ticketing fees that we have to pay. The payment fees are a percentage of ticket cost, so higher-cost tickets have a slightly higher service charge. We also increase the service charge for tickets that are harder to get than standard.
Box 'A' tickets are generally not on sale to the public, so we don't accept orders for them.

A pre-order is when you make an order and complete payment before ticket sales begin. If you pre-order, we will buy your tickets as soon as sales open. Read more about pre-orders!
If the tournament you want is already open for pre-orders, use the Shop button to make your order. If it's not open yet, use the Register Now button to be notified when we open.
The following information is only for 15-day Grand Sumo Tournaments. 1-day special events will have different schedules, which is explained on the shop page where you order the tickets.
Tickets are valid for the entire day, but you can arrive and leave at any time you want. Most people choose to arrive at about 2:30pm-3:30pm. We advise arriving at the venue no later than 3:00 on Days 1-14 or 2:30 on Day 15, so you have time to find your seat and settle in before the top division begins. The approximate times are in the table below:
The venue is called the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Google Map It is located within walking distance from Ryogoku Station (1 minute from west exit) on the JR Chuo-Sobu line, and Ryogoku subway station (8 minutes from exit A4) on the Toei Oedo line. If you want more help with the train, including directions from any station, we highly recommend this useful train-planning website.
