Sumo VIP Event & Ticket

Learn about the rules, techniques and history of sumo, ask questions to a former sumo wrestler, and get in the ring to challenge him! Event is conducted in English. When the event is finished, you can go straight to the Grand Sumo Tournament which is a short walk away, or arrive later in the day. INCLUDES A TICKET TO THE SUMO TOURNAMENT. Ticket is Arena 'A' on weekdays or Arena 'B' on weekends/holidays, except the final Sunday which is Arena 'C'. If we can't get that ticket type, we will get a lower category and refund the difference.

Location: In the Ryogoku area of Tokyo

Time: 9:30am to approximately 11:00am for the Sumo VIP Event. For the Grand Sumo Tournament time, please check our Tokyo information page.

Meeting: Meeting time and place will be sent by email about 1 week before the tour. A ticket is not necessary for the Sumo VIP Event and will not be sent. You will be given your Grand Sumo Tournament ticket when you arrive. Please do not order this package if you can't attend the Sumo VIP Event in the morning.

Children: Minimum age for children is 5 years old. You must book and pay for a place for them. Children must be able to sit quietly for the presentation part of the event.

Date change policy:

Free of charge, at our discretion and if space is available, only if changed before the original event date

Cancellation policy:
