The event on April 12th is at the Akibadai Cultural Gymnasium (秋葉台文化体育館). The closest station is Shonandai (湘南台) station, which is on several trail lines. If you want to walk from there it would take about 30 minutes, but the event is running a shuttle bus from the West Exit of the station. It takes about 10 minutes and costs 220 yen one way. The bus will run to the event from 8:30am to 11:30am, and return from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. For directions by train to the station, please use this useful website:
The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
11:00am - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
All seats come with souvenir cushion.
Children 2 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside at all.
Food/Souvenir Sets are available for purchase in advance. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. Food/Souvenir Set contains a boxed lunch, green tea, sake, snacks, and souvenir. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (1,600 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price). There is also an extra fee of 700 yen per order, which is for payment fees to the event office and for them to send the tickets to us.
