The event on October 25th is at the Okayama City Sogo Gymnasium (岡山市総合文化体育館), also known as the Urayasu Gymnasium (浦安体育館). The station we recommend going to is Okayama (岡山) which is on several train lines including the shinkanesen (bullet train). From there you can take a free shuttle bus to the venue. The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
Ringside and Box are sitting on the floor and come with souvenir cushion. 2nd-floor Arena SS also comes with souvenir cushion.
Children 2 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside at all.
Food Set contains a boxed lunch and green tea. If you want to eat at the event, we strongly recommend buying a food set. These events often have very limited food, or no food at all, for sale on the day. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (1,600 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
